This is another series of demons and angels: this time it's about a demon who loathes his status as a demon and loves God very much, and an angel who's doubtful about his being an angel and also God's love. They, not difficult to guess since it's a BL series, then fall in love with each other. But that's not as simple as it sounds.

In this series, it looks like angels have no name. They are only recognised by their ranks. Our main character, if not descending to Earth for a task, is one of the Powers. That's why the others call him simply 'Powers'. But on Earth, his name is Karasu. Being an angel, of course he has to do anything God tells him to do--including slaying demons in wars. But that only sows doubts in Karasu's heart. Is that what God makes them all for? Does God really love His creatures? etc.

One day, Karasu is sent by his superior (a Dominion) to fetch a demon whose permission to live on Earth has expired. To his surprise, Karasu finds the demon--named Shirasagi (OK that's a bit cheap because, you KNOW, Karasu means 'a crow' while Shirasagi means 'a white heron')--is not an evil demon after all. He lives on Earth as a Catholic priest, spending time doing social works and faithfully worshipping God. Later, Karasu finds out that Shirasagi's real name is Andrealfuss, the pet of Beelzebub, the Great Commander of the demons. And Beelzebub wants him badly to be back to his side in Hell.

Just like the angels, the demons have their own ranks. Andrealfuss is a marquis. Other ranks including Devils (the lowest one), Mares (the ones responsible for nightmares), etc.] So begins the us-against-the-world war: Shirasagi and Karasu, running away from both God and Beelzebub, belonging no more to Heaven and Hell, bound to Earth, with only Love between them. Just how will this tragic *coughs* love story end?

To make it short: this is a series with wonderful artwork, fascinating story spun carefully, not in a hurried way, a sweet uke who looks even sweeter when he cries, and a lovable seme with BEARD. Now that's a rare thing to see! Highly recommended. *grins*
