And some other news regarding Elex manga (yes, that Elex...), if you see this title on the shelf "Seikimatsu Prime Minister (The End of Century Prime Minister) vol. 1 - Eiki Eiki", the mangaka often made BL series (and the prequel to that manga itself is a BL). If you don't know DEATH NOTE, it's a relatively new manga by Oobata Tsugumi (story) and Obata Takeshi (art - yeah, he's the one who illustrated Hikaru no Go), currently serialised in Shounen Jump. So far two tankoubons have been published, while the third volume is due on September 3.

We have a new article on an Asuka CL manga, Innocent Bird by Hirotaka Kisaragi, reviewed by Tyas, sankyuu! This is another series of demons and angels: this time it's about a demon who loathes his status as a demon and loves God very much, and an angel who's doubtful about his being an angel and also God's love. They, not difficult to guess since it's a BL series, then fall in love with each other. But that's not as simple as it sounds...

Another on Death in Venice, a 1971 Italian film directed by Luchino Visconti. Of course, the latter is not exactly related to Japanese BL, but considering the popularity of Queer as Folks and slash among our members, hey, why not? It's more of an artsy movie though, so if you're not a fan of subtle cinematography, it might test your patience.

...Just mah excuse to say despite the smuts, deep in our hearts we're sensitive, learned, well-educated individuals exploring the limit of Eros (of course). A review on キタミ/Muscle (Hisayasu Sato) , the film that I mentioned before:

Ryuzaki, a quiet editor of a Japanese physique magazine "Muscle", finds himself attracted to one of the models, Kitami. They have sex, dance semi-nakedly, yada yada, you know, fun. BL Game
Buat para penggemar bl game, ada satu grup namanya LavenderCross [#lavender-cross@irc.y-hosting.net] (formerly #yaoi-forever) beberapa hari lalu ngerilis English patch buat game BL Kuro no Tsuki(Darkness of the Moon). That makes it the first real bl-game playable in English.

Meine Liebe (design chara : Yuki Kaori), game girlxboy kayak Tokimemo GS/Harukanaru buatan BeeTrain, akan diangkat jadi OVA. Chara designnya kalo gak salah yg bikin Noir. Mudah-mudahan musik ditangani Kajiura Yuki juga. Jadwal mulai tayang november 11, Versi manga chapter 1 ada di Betsu Hana 9, but not done by Yuki Kaori. Harukanaru tv series mulai tayang oct 5.

We are having our very first (fan)art contest. Here're the rules:
- Boleh disubmit ke DA (no size limit) atau ke main IYF site (max 200kb)
- Content terserah, mau hardcore, mau cuma hint boleh--asal BL.
- Tema: New Year. Gunakan imajinasi, mood boleh festive, angsty, etc. but somehow related to tahun baru. Boleh fanart, boleh original character.
- All submissions will be displayed a few weeks before the deadline for IYF-ers to vote
- Deadline 1 Januari 2005
- Winning entries might be used for layouts *depending on how, er, appropriate it is, since we can't really use hardcore image for layout*. And we'll give you a virtual BL medal ;P
